Atlanta Children’s Shelter Receives $45k Grant From Herbalife Family Foundation
The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), a global nonprofit and public charity dedicated to enhancing the well-being of kids, announced that it has awarded a $45,000 grant to the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.
The shelter, which provides support to local children and families facing homelessness, will use the funding to expand access to healthy meals, educational resources and safe environments for underserved Atlantans.
“We believe every person deserves the opportunity to thrive and build a better future,”
said Rob Levy, Herbalife Family Foundation board member and Herbalife president.
“We are inspired by our distributor community and employees who come together year after year to act upon that belief and create lasting impact in communities around the world.”
The funding is distributed through HFF’s Casa Herbalife Program, an initiative that aims to “nourish lives and empower communities worldwide,” according to a release.
This year alone, the Casa Herbalife Program has distributed $5 million to 165 nonprofit organizations across 60 countries and territories, benefitting more than 200,000 children worldwide, said HFF.
Since 1994, when it was established, the program has contributed over $60 million to nonprofit organizations globally.
