Barb notes, “Karen and I complement each other; where I may lack in an area of knowledge/skills Karen picks up and vice versa.” This deep personal and professional bond exemplifies the supportive network within GOVVI, which Barb describes as a family: “GOVVI is a family, if anyone is needing that extra income, that special place to belong, needing a new family or to expand their family, this is the place to be.”

“I am so lucky to have my amazing husband Kevin alongside me in this amazing business.  We travel to events together and even work very successful trade shows together.  This is the first business that we have ever partnered.  He is a huge part of our business and we love working together.”

Driven by a love for challenges and a deep commitment to her team, Barb is motivated by the desire to see everyone succeed. “Overcoming challenges and seeing the tangible impacts of our work keeps me motivated every day,” she exclaimed.  She went on to share, “I have earned three incentive trips but couldn’t have reached that without my partner Karen, the leaders, and my amazing team.  The key is always talking to people and having samples with you at all times. While on the last incentive cruise trip, I didn’t slow down. I was always talking to people about the products and business.  I even found a new business partner/friend while chatting on the beach.”

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Barb’s advice to new entrepreneurs is heartfelt and practical: “Stay connected, be patient, and involve your family in your journey. Success is more rewarding when shared,” she advises, emphasizing the importance of persistence and community support. 

She went on to share, “I pride myself in being an effective team player who is someone that is coachable. Someone that is willing to go above and beyond to help others. Is willing to set aside their wants and needs to help others.” In turn she shared how grateful she is to be a part of a company that feels more like a family.

“I love this company first and foremost because of the people.  GOVVI is a family and everyone is made to feel appreciated and loved.  The owners want us to be successful professionally, personally and financially!  They care about us not just as an employee but as family.   They truly make us feel appreciated and loved.  They care about us and our families. The owners want to see us financially succeed and we all feel heard!”
